Real stories. Real growth. One small habit at a time.
Welcome to the Life in Tandem blog—a space where we share the breakthroughs, belly laughs, and honest moments that come with showing up for your relationship on purpose.
Each post is a window into how our monthly challenges are going—for us and our community. You'll find reflections from the front lines of reconnection, encouragement from other couples, and the real talk we all wish someone else would say out loud first.
This is where the fun, the messy, and the hopeful all live together.
Because progress doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be together.

💛 Our 30-Day Intimacy Challenge: What We’re Learning (and Laughing About!)

Let’s be honest — when we decided to launch this 30-Day Intimacy Challenge, we were excited... and also a little nervous. Because talking about intimacy? It’s vulnerable. Trying to change it? That’s next-level vulnerable.
But here’s the cool part: even in just these first days, we’re already seeing little wins that feel huge.
For Emily, one of the biggest takeaways has been this:
👉 For most women, intimacy starts with emotional safety. If we don’t feel seen, heard, or connected on that heart level, physical intimacy just feels like one more thing on the to-do list.
For Pete (and a lot of guys out there), it’s almost the opposite:
👉 Physical connection is how he feels emotionally close. It’s how he feels loved.
So, what are we learning?
✅ When we both get what we need — emotional AND physical connection — we both feel better. And guess what? Intimacy happens more often and feels a lot more fun (and a lot less like pressure).
And speaking of fun... let’s talk about that.
If you believe everything media shows us, sex is supposed to be hot, heavy, and serious every single time. But the truth? Some of our favorite moments this month have been when we’re laughing together. When it’s playful. When we’re us.
đź’ˇ Big takeaway: Decide together what kind of intimacy you need and love right now. Talk about it (even if it feels awkward at first). Then go from there.
🎉 Your turn!
We’d love to hear what’s working for you!
